Professor Dr. med. Daniel Pohl is a board-certified Internist and Gastroenterologist at the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland. He started his career as a fellow of the GI Functional Diagnostic Center in 2005, Zurich, emphasizing on clinics and research of upper gut motility and later, disorders of brain-gut interaction. Daniel Pohl was a research fellow at the Esophageal Disorders Clinic with Prof. Castell at the Medical University of South Carolina, USA. Currently he is a Professor of Gastroenterology at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, Visiting Professor at the University of Riejka, Croatia, Head of the Gastroenterology Unit at the University Hospital Branch at Zurich Airport “The Circle”, as well as Head of the Neurogastroenterology and Motility division. He is founding member and Past-President of the Swiss Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility (SwissNGM) and member of the Executive Committee in his position as treasurer/general secretary of the European Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility (ESNM) as well as the European Foregut Society (EFS).

Dr. David Robbins earned his medical degree with Distinction in Research from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and was inducted into the prestigious national honor medical society, AΩA. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and returned to The Mount Sinai Hospital for his general GI fellowship, followed by an advanced endoscopy year at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He also completed a master’s degree (MSc) in clinical research and biostatistics from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health.
Dr. Robbins was recruited by Dr. Gregory Haber in 2008 to join him at Lenox Hill (now part of Northwell Health) and has been the GI training Program Director and Associate Chief there for the past 13 years. He is also the Medical Director of Manhattan Endoscopy, a seven room ASC in the heart of midtown used by over 20 physicians. He has a special interest in gastrointestinal cancer prevention, diagnosis and staging as well as routine digestive disorders and advanced endoscopy. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine.
Dr. Robbins has been inducted as a fellow in the three major US GI professional societies (ASGE, AGA and ACG), served as an ASGE Ambassador (Cairo) and has for over the last decade been recognized as one of New York Magazine's Top Doctors. He has lectured nationally and internationally on ways to improve endoscopy unit quality and has been featured as a medical expert for major television and news outlets. Not surprisingly, he also considers himself a professional musician since his neighbors pay him not to play his saxophone.
