Professor Dirk Reinhardt is a pediatrician and internationally recognized specialist in pediatric hematology and oncology. His work focuses on acute myeloid leukemia, translational research, clinical trials, and improved care for seriously ill children. He led the AML-BFM Study Group for 16 years. Reinhardt has authored 374 peer-reviewed publications, holds an h-index of 77, and contributes extensively to international professional societies and collaborative networks. He was director and full-professor at the University Children’s Hospital Essen. Since 2025 he serves as CEO of the Leukemia Institute Frankfurt-Essen.

Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Darwish is a Consultant in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology with over two decades of experience in pediatric medicine and inherited blood disorders. He earned his fellowship at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre Riyadh. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Healthcare Quality Management. Dr. Al Darwish has held several leadership positions, including Head of the Hematology Unit at Qatif Central Hospital, Deputy Medical Director of Prince Mohammed Bin Fahad Hospital for Inherited Blood Disorders, Deputy Director of the Pediatric Residency Program, and Head/Coordinator of Health Outreach Services. His clinical expertise includes benign hematology mainly inherited blood disorders . He is actively involved in clinical research, national guideline development, medical education, and quality improvement initiatives, and has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and national healthcare projects.
